Is it safe during a thunder storm?
Homes are rarely hit by lightning. When this does happen, the lightning likes to take the path of least resistance to the ground, which means traveling through large conductive systems like the plumbing pipes, electricalwiring network, or telephone and cable TV lines, all of which are directly grounded to the Earth. It's always looking for the easiest and fastest way to the ground. Our grounding sheets are connected to the ground via wire or grounding rod, and have a built-in current limiting 100k ohm resistor to guard against any sort of electricity coming through to you. This would not be the easiest path for the lightning to get to the ground and the resistor would melt before the lightning could ever get to you.

Can the Grounding Sheet be washed?
We recommend you wash your sheet weekly, or an absolute minimum, twice per month with warm water and an eco (essential oil free) liquid detergent. Washing in warm water strips off any body sweat, natural oils, etc. that can build up and create a film on the silver thread that impairs conductivity. The sheets can be washed in a washing machine with regular liquid detergent as long as the detergent doesn't contain chlorine or other chemical bleaches, including oxy-bleaches or oxy-whiteners. Line dry the sheets or put them in the dryer on low if needed.
Note - never use bleach! Bleach instantly destroys the conductivity of the silver thread. Do not use chlorine, oxy or any other bleach, whiteners, fabric softeners or conditioners as these will corrode the silver thread and compromise conductivity.
Do Grounding Sheets use electricity?
